Saturday all the action kicked off with
Jr. Dragsters taking to the track as each Jr. would receive two time
runs before eliminations were contested. “It is just amazing how these
kids are so adaptive to the world of bracket racing, with just two
time runs these kids are already adjusted to the tree and the track”,
Rolison stated. “I have always stated the “KOC” Jr. Dragster Racers
are some of the best Jr. Racers around”, Rolison concluded.
Jr. Racers Darian Boesch of Kenner, LA,
Destin Bailey of Marrero, LA and Chaz Robicheaux of Breaux Bridge, LA
all took WINS in their respective categories.
A brief light drizzle halted the racing
action right before the Pro Electronics, Pro Footbrake and Quick 16
Racers took to the track. As with the Jr. Racers, the “big cars” were
given two time trials as first round of eliminations kicked off at
5pm. With no major delays the racing action concluded before 10pm.
Mario Boesch of Kenner, LA took home the Quick 16 WIN over Justin
Albritton of West Monroe, LA as Boesch made his 2nd
Straight final round appearance in KOC Quick 16’s. Boesch was also the
